What have we been doing?

WhatsApp Image 2022-03-10 at 4.19.47 PM.jpeg

Back in February, we started preparing our first convoy of vehicles to take paramedics, doctors & nurses into Ukraine.

Our first convoy landed in Ukraine just a few days later. Making plans, safety talks and connections along the way.

We transported dogs across the border and even adopted two of our own. Monika & Nicola now live with the organisation in our volunteer house.

Initially the border crossing was lethally cold and not safe for those crossing and spending days in the snow. We supplied blankets, clothes, hot water bottles & food to those waiting.

Throughout the next few weeks we transported refugees to other countries and into processing centres in Poland. We continued to bring medical professionals in from all over the world.

Our Ukrainian, Russian & Polish speaking volunteers assisted in the refugee centres with visa applications and general translations .

Working with other organisations, we have so far provided over 3,800 tonnes of humanitarian aid into Ukraine.

Fantastic communities in the UK pulled together and turned a local pub into a sorting centre for us. From here we loaded our vehicles to go into Ukraine.

Our 4x4 response vehicles mean we can access places other vehicles cannot and can travel in convoy making good progress with our vehicles fitted with emergency equipment and advanced drivers.

With our own ambulances capible of carrying organs, blood & refrigerated products such as insulin, we are taking vital supplies into eastern Ukraine.

We are not done yet! Unfortunately there is still a lot to do,

thank you for your help
